Paras hetki äidin kanssa

Bongailin sitten tässä eilen ihanasta muutamia kuukausia sitten takaperin lukulistalleni tiensä löytäneestä PolishedxPink -blogista haasteen kilpailuun (kilpailun ovat siis järjestäneet  yhteistyössä cuponation.fi sekä polishedxpink -blogi), jossa muistellaan äitien kanssa koettuja parhaita hetkiä. No tämähän sopi ajatuksiini paremmin kuin nenä päähän.Tässä äitienpäivän kunniaksi teki mieli taasen muistella ihania hetkiä äipän kanssa. Itseasiassa viikonloppuna lopulta tuli vietettyä niin paljon aikaa oman äitini kanssa että lopulta aikaa blogiin jubailemiseen ei juurikaan jäänyt. Käväistiin muun muassa ostamassa pari uutta nojatuolia vanhojen kuluneiden, mutta hyvin palvelleiden tilalle. Käytiin myös katsomassa oikeen porukalla isoäitiä vanhainkodissa ja syötiin hyvin.

Äiti, kotona vain  äippä, äiskä tai äiti tai mom, on mulle tosi läheinen ja valehtelematta voin sanoa että joskus äitini on myös paras ystäväni. Kuten kaverinikin ovat oppineet, kerron äitilleni kaiken. Aina kun stressaa, suututtaa tai juorututtaa (tai muuten vain Susa on ollut hiljaa koko päivän) on äiti yleensä se, joka pääsee tai joutuu nämä kaikki kuuntelemaan. Äitillä on aina vastaus ongelmiin ja lohdutuksen ja erinomainen korva mun hölötyksille sana. Ylemmälle taholle kiitos siitä että äitini on myöskin erittäin samanlainen kuin minä. Viikonloppuuni siis kuului tällä kertaa kuten aikaisemmin mainitsin, erittäin paljon hetkiä äidin kanssa. Ja jotkut viikonlopun aktiviiteista jopa kytkeytyvät tiukasti niihin parhaimpiin hetkiin, joita olen äitini kanssa kokenut.

Loppukokeideni lähestyessä loppuaan ja päivien käydessä valoisemmiksi tunti tunnilta, myös heinäkuussa juhlittavat valmistujaiseni/lakkiaiseni/graduation lähestyvät. Uudet tuolit tarttuivatkin mukaan juuri siksi ettei tarvitse vanhoja kuluneita esitellä. Juhlien suunnittelu meidän talossa onkin melko harvinaista, sillä koti on meille lähinnä paikka, jossa äitini sanojen mukaisesti jokainen meistä lähinnä käy kääntymässä iltaisin rentoutumassa. Tämä tekeekin juhlimisesta erityisen spesiaalia ja yhteisen aktiviteetin joka tekee päivät hituista mukavammiksi ja erityisesti niiden suunnittelemisesta parhaita hetkiä äitin kanssa. Maailman parasta stressinlievitystä.

Erityisesti samanlainen makumme ja tyylimme juhlia tekeekin juhlien suunnittelusta ja visioinnista erityisen mukavaa puuhaa äitin kanssa. Se on meille ikään kuin yhteistä terapiaa, hyvin suunniteltu on puoliksi tehty. Ja jonkun verran (lue paljon) tähän suunnitteluun myös kulutamme keskustelujamme ja valmistujaisjuhlani ovatkin siis ainakin varmasti tarkasti unelmoidut.

Rippijuhlat ja 18-vuotissyntymäpäivät taisivat olla viimeisimmät juhlat, joita olen äitin kanssa suunnitellut. Niissä juhlissa juotiin kahvia rakkaista muumimukeista ja syötiin mun lempparitäytekakkua, joka on parasta kun äiti on tehnyt sen. Valmistujaisissani kuitenkin muumimukit vaihtuvat isoäidin posliineihin ja kakku cupcakeiksi. Parasta yhteistä aikaa on kuitenkin ne automatkat kaiken arjen keskellä kun ehtii antaa unelmille aikaa.

Shortly in English; I found this amazing blog called PolishedxPink, and from this blog a competion where the writer challenged bloggers to think about their favorite moments with their moms.

My favorite moments for sure are the moments I share with my mom dreaming about the day I graduate this summer. Organizing parties is rare treat in my family, and dreaming about them is the best stress reduction making those moments my favorite moments with my mom. 




 

Beach of the Beach (Miami)

As I said last time, there was two reasons for going to Miami, the heat and The Heat.

And what is better place to enjoy the heat than the beach. I'm not much as a sunbather myself, so there is no pictures of me laying in the sand. Instead we found a another activity to do: biking. Our hotel (Tradewinds Apartment Hotel) loaned bikes for free to the guests so we decided to pick up on that and go for a ride along the beach. As the weather was not particularly sunny (for tanning purposes) biking was an excellent alternative.

And what can I say. Miami Beach's beach is beautiful.

Key West breeze

In short, when you travel only about three hours from Miami to south you'll end up in Key West. It is an island just 90 kilometres from Cuba. The town has a lovely old fashioned feeling to it, which I always fancy. Even though it rained the whole day, I still kind of liked it and wished to be there for longer, as in anywhere in USA there is just toooooo much to see and experience.


The trip to Key West from Miami doesn't cost itself that much (around 50 euros I would say). However as you get there, there is a lot of different kind of activities you can do. The agency which we used offered for example parasailing, snorkling and glassbottom boat (around 30-50 euros depending). As it was raining and we weren't really prepared for anything special we decided to do the glassbottom boat. It happened to be such a bad weather that the boat did not go their usual route, which ended up being pretty boring. We also thought that the "glassbottom" would have been more impressive. I would definitely recommend this to a nicer weather or for a person who loves biology, because the presentation offered a lot of education.
Your tourguide said that the perfect day in Key West would include something fun in the sea and something in the city. One option for only walking through the city as we did, would have been a trolley ride with these lovely old-timey trollies.


Mallory Square is on the water front of Key West and the place to watch the sunset in the evening apparently, even though we didn't get to see that much because of the clouds. But there was lot beauty too see without it also, street performers and the sea, plus these old-fashioned popcorn stands and booths. And it is also the place to buy real sponges!

More like 100 most important pictures, as I do have at the moment (if I calcutalated correctly) 92 equally important pictures on my wall, from the 5 past years mainly. It is not simply not possible to choose one.

Here are some of my newest loves, which I found while going through some old photos. I hope to see these amazing and personally important pictures on my wall soon. They are from my second or third trip to abroad. Tomorrow begins the 15th (again if I calculated correctly).

Yeah. I was thinking about doing several posts about my London trip, but I realized that I don't have much to share about it. I didn't took pics from the sights, because I already have taken those on my two previous trips, and I sort of ditched from most of the sight-seeing opportunities. The trip was awesome tho, pretty much just hanging around the London with my best friends and shopping as you can see above. And avoiding going back to the hotel! It was the worst I have ever been in. Not many bathrooms, had to share them with way too many people, the floors were dirty and staff was 24/7 pissed off to us... And there was only one socket for 5 people.
